Nissan introduces a major mechanical update for the Murano’s 2026 edition: the two-row mid-sized crossover is now strictly all-wheel drive. There are also two new optional packages that enhance driver assistance and increase luxury on specific trims. The Platinum Technology Package equips its namesake trim with Nissan’s ProPilot Assist 2.1 suite, enabling hands-free highway driving with freeway cruise control support, lane change assist, and active lane centering. This package also includes active driver monitoring, which assists unresponsive drivers through emergency stop and e-call. Elsewhere in the lineup, the available Comfort Package will outfit the mid-grade SL with heated/ventilated front seats, massage settings, a motion-activated power liftgate, and heated rear seats. Even the SV gets an upgrade, as it now comes with NissanConnect’s vehicle tracker.
