The Frontier has earned its devotees over its decades as a capable and dependable pickup. For model year 2026, Nissan has reinforced this midsized truck’s credentials by adding more standard features and go-anywhere capability. The SV with four-wheel drive (4WD) and the PRO-4X have a new terrain management system with hill descent control and modes for driving on rock, sand, mud, and roads.
Meanwhile, the SV, PRO-X, and PRO-4X have been improved with an eight-way power driver's seat. LED headlights are a new enhancement for the two lowest trims, the S and SV. And even though the two PRO trims concentrate on above-and-beyond capability, Nissan didn't ignore their comfort factor, adding heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote start to the standard equipment list for both. The options for the mid-tier SV now include the All-Weather Package (highlighted by heated front seats and a heated steering wheel) and the Dark Armor Package, an appearance package with trim-exclusive treatments inside and out. Nissan has also streamlined the Frontier’s trim range, discontinuing the second-level SL.
