2025 Nissan Murano
2025 Nissan
Murano
Nissan described the reimagined 2025 Murano’s design concept as “energetic elegance,” and it certainly lives up to that term, thanks to a turbocharged powertrain, ultra-modern interior, and unique LED light treatments inside and out. Up front, you’ll notice the all-new Murano’s razor-thin Crystal Cube LED headlights, along with LEDs hidden within Nissan’s trademark V-motion grille. Around back, there’s a striking LED taillight bar spanning the full width.
In the higher-level Murano, the designers executed a thoughtful combination of semi-aniline leather and Venetian-inspired glass trim with rotating textures and graphics to simulate the golden hour of sunset. The ‘25 Murano is also wider than the outgoing model, giving it a more aggressive stance and more passenger room than before. As far as amenities, massaging front seats are available for the first time on this model, as are dual 12.3-inch displays. This is also the first year that Nissan Maintenance Care is included to add the value of up to three complimentary oil changes within the first two years or 24,000 miles.

The SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels make up the ‘25 Murano lineup. Nissan’s 241-horsepower 2.0-liter VC-Turbo (Variable-Compression Turbo) engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters is the standard powertrain. The EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings are the same across the board: every trim returns 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
The SV is offered with standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive (AWD), while the SL and Platinum come with AWD. Regardless of the trim and drivetrain, the towing capacity is limited to 1,500 pounds.
Standard and Available Equipment
The SV’s exterior has 20-inch black alloy wheels, heated power side mirrors, a power liftgate, integrated rear spoiler, LED automatic headlights, LED front accent lights, and LED taillights. Its main interior features are dual-zone automatic climate control, a TailorFit leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front bucket seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 6-way power-adjustable passenger seat, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, four USB ports, and one 12-volt power outlet. Remote start (via key fob) and Nissan Intelligent Key with a front-door request switch are also included.
The SL adds a heated steering wheel, memory settings for the driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, MyQ Connected Garage, a panoramic moonroof with power sunshade, and smartphone-enabled remote engine start powered by NissanConnect. The Platinum has the most upscale amenities with elegant quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with massage feature, heated rear seats, side sun blinds, a power-tilting steering wheel, power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, rain-detecting windshield wipers, and 21-inch machined alloy wheels with painted accents.
Advanced Safety Features
Like all new Nissan vehicles, the ‘25 Murano is outfitted with the latest version of the Safety Shield 360 driver-assist suite. The list of technologies includes high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot intervention, intelligent driver alertness, intelligent lane intervention, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert with rear automatic braking, front/rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. While the SV gets ProPILOT Assist 1.0 hands-on and a rearview monitor, the SL and Platinum upgrade to ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with Navi-link and the HD enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor, which provides eight different 3D angles of the vehicle’s surroundings, including a new Invisible Hood View. Those two higher trims also get adaptive cruise control with traffic stop and go and an emergency SOS system via NissanConnect.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The infotainment/multimedia technology in the redesigned Murano includes wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth audio streaming and phone connectivity, Siri Eyes Free, MyNISSAN custom mobile apps, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 12.3-inch color touchscreen. The base trim gets a six-speaker audio system while the SL and Platinum upgrade to a Bose premium sound system with 10 speakers and add Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM with 360L satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and access to NissanConnect, which features navigation, real-time traffic display, and real-time weather display.
