2026 Nissan Rogue Hero

The Rogue has abundant attributes that combine to make it the best-selling Nissan model. It’s a just-right compact crossover with turbocharged efficient power, comfortable space for five, a slew of standard safety and connectivity technologies, and affordable pricing. Plus, it’s great-looking and offers a diverse range of trims, including the Platinum, which is loaded with luxurious features such as wireless device charging, quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a two-panel panoramic moonroof. In changes for 2026, Nissan will add the Dark Armor trim as a later release. It will slot below the Platinum and have some of the same high-level amenities but with a distinct black-themed exterior.

Trims and Drivetrains

The current lineup for the 2026 Rogue consists of the S, SV, Rock Creek, and Platinum; the Dark Armor will follow around early winter. Their 1.5-liter three-cylinder VC-Turbo engine making 201 horsepower uses variable compression (VC) technology to form a great marriage of performance with fuel efficiency. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) completes the powertrain. The S and SV get a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) by default, but they’re eligible for the available all-wheel drive (AWD). Both the Rock Creek and Platinum get standard AWD.

The two lower trims with FWD achieve an EPA-estimated 29 mpg around town and 36 mpg on the highway; with AWD they get 28 city/35 highway, as does the Platinum. The Rock Creek dips a tad to 27 city/32 highway.

Standard Features and Options

The base trim, the S, is relatively no-nonsense with its cloth upholstery, push-button ignition, cruise control, two front-row USB ports, and rear privacy glass, but it also gets LED exterior lights with auto-on headlamps, remote keyless entry, power-adjustable side-view mirrors, a tilt/telescopic steering column, rear HVAC vents, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The SV adds to that with remote start, proximity keyless entry, a power tailgate, two zones of automatic cabin temperature control, two second-row USB ports, a power-adjustable (eight-way) driver's seat, heated power side-view mirrors, a wrapped steering wheel, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SV Premium Package can be added for Prima-Tex leatherette upholstery, rear-door sunshades, a power-sliding panoramic moonroof, and rooftop rails. The SV Cold Weather Package will add heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The rugged Rock Creek looks the part with all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels and a black tubular roof rack; it also gets heated seats and trim-exclusive leatherette upholstery. The Rock Creek Premium Package is available to supply a motion-activated liftgate, wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel, a four-way power front-passenger seat, driver's-side memory, enhanced side mirrors (with reverse tilt-down and built-in turn indicators), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and special interior accent lighting.

The Platinum adds luxury to the SV’s equipment with high-comfort semi-aniline leather upholstery in a quilted pattern, a heated steering wheel, a four-way power front-passenger seat, driver's-side memory, a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, wireless device charging, roof rails, a 12.3-inch digital instrument gauge, side-view mirrors with reverse tilt-down and built-in turn indicators), and remote folding rear seats. Rear-door sunshades are included as well, along with an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a cargo management system, interior accent lighting, and 19-inch wheels. The Platinum Premium Package is offered to furnish heated rear seats, three zones of automatic climate control, a motion-activated liftgate, and a head-up display.

Advanced Safety Features

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is installed on every Rogue to protect passengers with rear automatic braking, forward collision warning, automatic high beams automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, and a driver alertness monitor. ProPilot Assist hands-on semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise control is found on all but the base trim, as are lane intervention and blind-spot intervention.

The Rock Creek and Platinum add a surround-view monitor (with off-road mode for the Rock Creek). The Platinum is further loaded with parking sensors (front, rear, and side) and traffic sign recognition; it’s also eligible for the Platinum Tech Package, which upgrades the surround-view monitor and ProPilot Assist. Every trim is given an array of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor. Hill descent control is exclusive to the Rock Creek.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All Rogue trims have a touchscreen infotainment system, with an 8-inch display for the S, SV, and Rock Creek and a 12.3-inch screen for the Platinum. All trims get Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM satellite radio; Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to NissanConnect services are added at the SV level. The Platinum is fully loaded with Google built-in services, integrated navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are four speakers in the S, while the SV and Rock Creek add another pair. The Platinum gets the ultimate treatment with a ten-speaker Bose audio setup.
