New Nissan 2021 Nissan Frontier for Sale in Warwick, RI
midsized pickup truck is back for the 2021 model year with the most horsepower (310) in its class. It’s especially rugged with its body-on-frame construction and high-strength steel – and the Pro-4X trim is exceptional for trail driving. Like all Nissans, it offers excellent technology features and a comfortable interior, which is appreciated by those whose vehicle is also their office. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights of its standard and available equipment.
Mechanical Basics and Trims
Frontier buyers can pick from a trio of trims – S, SV, and Pro-4X – and a couple of cab choices. The S and SV come in either a crew cab or king cab, but the offroad-focused Pro4X is made with the crew cab only. Aside from these trims, there are a couple of special versions this model year, including a long-bed variant of the SV trim. The second alternative is the crew-cab Midnight Edition of the SV, which is distinguished by some blacked-out exterior elements.
The ’21 Frontier’s powerplant is a 3.8-liter V6 that produces the aforementioned class-leading 310 hp (and 281 lb.-ft. of torque); the transmission is a nine-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive optional, on the S and SV; 4WD is standard on the Pro-4X. The Frontier’s maximum payload is 1,460 pounds, and its top towing capacity is 6,720 lb.
Standard and Available Features
The no-frills S trim has been planned with plenty of useful features for getting the job done. It has bed lighting, a locking tailgate, keyless entry, a USB port, rear privacy glass, and 16-inch wheels. The SV adds power exterior mirrors, a slide-to-open rear window, and some trim upgrades on the outside. It can be dressed up with numerous optional bundles, including the Midnight Edition Package (black exterior trim and 18-inch wheels in black). The Special Edition Package will outfit it with silver 18-inch wheels, a satin chrome grille, a body-colored back bumper, and a trip computer. The Value Truck Package makes it even more job-ready with a sprayed in bedliner, a sliding bed extender, tie-down cleats, a cargo management system, and a Class IV tow hitch receiver, but it also raises the comfort and safety factors with dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, fog lights, rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a security system.
The off-road-ready Pro-4X combines brawn and convenience with many of the features from the SV Special Edition and SV Value Truck packages coming as standard equipment, along with a roof rack, automatic headlights, leather seats, heated outside mirrors, a moonroof, power front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Its trail-specific attributes include Bilstein off-road shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, underbody skid plates, all-terrain tires, splash guards, a front tow hook; it also comes with a first-aid kit.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The base infotainment system (found on the S and SV) has a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and an audio setup with four speakers; the SV is eligible to be upgraded with a six-speaker sound system. The Pro-4X’s touchscreen is upgraded – although it’s more compact at 5.8 inches. It gets voice recognition, navigation, and a top-notch Rockford Fosgate audio system with 10 speakers, including subwoofers.
