2020 Nissan Frontier for Sale in Warwick, RI

Overview
The Nissan Frontier is back with a clap of thunder, boasting best-in-class standard horsepower and competitive capabilities to take on similarly priced domestic trucks. Now in its third generation, this midsized pickup keeps the same platform of the previous model year but gets a noteworthy upgrade on its powertrain, plus improvements to its chassis and electrical architecture. The more powerful V6 (it adds 49 hp over the previous) and nine-speed automatic transmission that debut on it provide better acceleration and fuel efficiency. These changes, though, don’t constitute a complete redesign – just a significant refresh. A new generation of the Frontier is on Nissan’s schedule for the near future, though.

Trim Levels and Warranty Coverage
There are four 2020 Nissan Frontier trims: the S, SV, Midnight Edition, and Pro-4X. The three available body configurations are King Cab (6-foot bed), Crew Cab Short (5-foot bed), and Crew Cab Long (6-foot bed). Where just about every other automaker has raised pricing, Nissan has lowered the Frontier’s MSRP, with an average reduction of $2,000 across the trim levels. They’re all covered by generous warranties, including a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Mechanical Features, Towing, and Fuel Economy
The headline news for the 2020 Nissan Frontier is its all-new powertrain, made up of a 3.8-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Gone are the four-cylinder engine and manual transmission alternatives of the 2019 model year, but the drivetrain choices remain at standard 4×2 and available 4×4. The new powertrain delivers best-in-class 310 horsepower. Although it does not have a V8 engine offering, the 2020 Nissan Frontier is still quite powerful, as it’s able to tow up to 6,720 lb. or carry up to of 1,460 lb. of payload in its bed. Its fuel economy is better than the 2019 model’s, as the new Frontier gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway.
Amenities by Trim Level
The 2020 Nissan Frontier packs in all of the sought-after features, with the base S getting a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Bluetooth audio streaming, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, remote keyless entry, push-button start, a leather shift knob, manual tilt steering, power door locks, and power windows. The SV adds a sliding rear window, a chrome rear bumper, and a body-color front bumper; it’s also eligible for some premium options, such as a rear sonar system and a tow hitch receiver. The Midnight Edition gets the rear sonar as standard and adds some differentiators in its appearance, namely black wheels, grille, and step rails, plus badging that’s unique to the trim. At the top, the Pro-4X Crew Cab gets a power sliding glass moonroof, leather seats embroidered with the trim emblem, a navigation system, voice recognition, a Rockford Fosgate audio system with ten speakers and a subwoofer, and a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.
