Nissan gives Sentra shoppers a selection of three value-rich trims: S, SV, and SR. They’re all set into motion by a 149-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to complete the powertrain. The fuel economy for this front-wheel-drive sedan is exceptional: all three trims have been rated by the EPA to achieve 30 mpg around town and 40 mpg on the highway.
The S is the most straightforward of the trio, coming with remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, cloth upholstery, a USB data port, a 12V power outlet, cruise control, and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. The SV grows in attractiveness thanks to proximity keyless entry, two more USB ports, and 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. It’s also eligible for two upgrade packages. The All-Weather Package contains heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated side-view mirrors, and remote start. The Premium Package offers even more refinement with leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a moonroof, and turn indicators for the side-view mirrors. Remote-activated welcome lights are available as an a la carte option.
With the SR, the contents of the All-Weather Package come standard, but the heated steering wheel has a synthetic leather wrapping instead of genuine leather. The features from the Premium Package remain optional, except for the side-view mirrors with turn indicators (which are a standard feature) and leather upholstery (this trim comes with simulated leather). Beyond that, the SR gets LED headlights and 18-inch wheels. All trims qualify for the optional frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink.
Nissan’s full suite of Safety Shield 360 driving aids is included in the ’25 Sentra, meaning that every trim gets forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, driver attention monitoring, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. As the higher-cost trims, the SV and SR also get adaptive cruise control; with the optional Premium Package, they’ll be enhanced with Nissan’s HD Intelligent Around View Monitor.
The S has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. SV and SR buyers will get an 8-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM satellite radio and six speakers, while those who opt for the Premium Package will be rewarded with a cutting-edge Bose sound system. What’s more, the Premium Package for the SR includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is separately bundled in the NissanConnect Services Package for the SV.
