The Sentra’s trim packages are divided into three levels: S, SV, and SR. Every one of them comes standard with front-wheel drive, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and the Xtronic CVT. The powertrain produces 149 horsepower and achieves EPA-estimated fuel economy of 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway in the S and SV. The SR’s ratings differ slightly at 30 city/38 highway.
The S trim level serves as the entry point for this stylish four-door. Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille is flanked by intelligent automatic headlights and shows off a touch of chrome; active grille shutters are installed to increase aerodynamics. The S’s other standard equipment includes dual-power side mirrors, 16-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, zero-gravity front seats, a 7-inch color infotainment touchscreen, and a 4.2-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display keep you aware of safety features, infotainment status, and important trip information. The SV introduces premium cloth upholstery, aluminum-alloy wheels, a vehicle security system, and Nissan Intelligent Key (proximity keyless entry). The Advanced Drive-Assist Display increases to 7 inches and the NissanConnect touchscreen becomes 8 inches.
The SR distinguishes itself trim-specific design elements such as a dark chrome V-Motion grille, black outside mirrors (heated), side sill extensions, a sporty rear fascia, a chrome exhaust finisher, a body-color rear spoiler, and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Some of its other upgrades are remote start, intelligent climate control, LED headlights and daytime running lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, sport cloth seat trim with contrast stitching, and dual-zone automatic temperature control.
You won’t have to choose the SR to receive Nissan Safety Shield 360: every trim comes jam-packed with safety technologies. Coming standard on all trims are high beam assist, rear door alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, intelligent driver alertness, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, rear sonar, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic braking. The SV trim gains intelligent cruise control, which allows you to maintain a preset distance between your Sentra and the vehicle ahead during highway cruising.
Android Auto compatibility and Apple CarPlay integration come standard in the 2024 Sentra, with those and other infotainment apps displayed on a 7-inch color touchscreen in the S and an 8-inch NissanConnect touchscreen in the SV and SR. The other multimedia features found across the board include Siri Eyes Free, voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free phone and streaming audio, hands-free text messaging, and a sound system (the S gets four speakers and the higher trims get six). The SV and SR also get SiriusXM with a 3-month trial subscription. Both of those trims are eligible to upgrade to an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system, while the SR alone qualifies for a Wi-Fi hotspot and NissanConnect services with trial access to 5-year Select and 3-year Premium packages. While the S gets one USB-A port, the other trims receive two USB-A ports and one USB-C port.
