For the 2024 model year, Nissan’s iconic GT-R is available in three distinct trims: Premium, T-spec, and the high-performance NISMO. At the heart of this four-seat coupe is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine, which channels its power to all four wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (with paddle shifters for even more driver engagement). The Premium and T-spec models boast an output of 565 horsepower and 467 lb.-ft. of torque, while the range-topping NISMO takes performance to the next level with 600 horsepower and 481 lb.-ft. of torque. Despite the power lurking under its hood, the GT-R returns respectable fuel efficiency, with EPA estimates of 16 mpg in city driving and 22 mpg on the highway for all trims.
The GT-R Premium is ready for the road (or the track) with performance features such as a Bilstein suspension, Brembo brakes, a vehicle control system with driver-selectable modes, a rear limited-slip differential, a titanium exhaust, a rear spoiler, a carbon-fiber engine chassis brace, aerodynamic undertrays, and 20-inch forged-alloy rims with Dunlop high-performance run-flat tires. This base trim’s long equipment list continues with leather-trimmed front seats with synthetic-suede inserts, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, multi-LED headlights, a drive-configurable display, variable-intermittent speed-sensitive windshield wipers, two USB ports, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The GT-R T-spec gets Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, an upgrade to semi-aniline leather upholstery, unique interior treatments, a quilted Alcantara leather headliner, special kick plates, and 20-inch forged-alloy wheels with a gold finish. The NISMO’s performance enhancements are matched by an aerodynamic body design featuring numerous carbon-fiber components (roof, hood, front fenders, trunk lid, front and rear fascia, side sills, and rear spoiler). This ultimate GT-R also gets a NISMO-tuned suspension, front fender air outlets, Recaro leather-trimmed front seats, black and red interior accents, a NISMO tachometer, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and gauge hood, and wider 20-inch wheels.
Nissan installs some driver assistance and safety features across all 2024 GT-R trims. This standard technology includes traction control, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview monitor, and cruise control. Every GT-R also has a multi-airbag system, anti-lock brakes, and electronic brake force distribution, which provide optimal protection and control in various driving situations.
GT-R occupants will stay connected and entertained thanks to an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It’s the gateway to integrated navigation, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and other technologies. All GT-R trims also come with an 11-speaker Bose audio system, voice recognition control (for audio and navigation), and access to NissanConnect services.
