Trims and Powertrain

Five trims make up the ’23 Rogue: S, SV, Midnight Edition, SL, and Platinum. They each come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 201 hp and 225 lb.-ft. of torque: it pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is available, and with FWD, the ’23 Rogue pulls off an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. With AWD, it gets 28 city/35 highway.

S

The entry-level Rogue S is a remarkable base trim that has everything you need at a great price. Some of its highlights are automatic LED headlights, rear privacy glass, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, power windows with driver’s one-touch auto-up/down, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and a 60/40-split second-row seatback. It also has a 12V power outlet and two USB ports (one Type-A and the other Type-C), plus a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio (SiriusXM), a four-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming.

The renowned Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced safety tech comes standard, too. This equips the S with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors with reverse automatic braking, automatic high beams, and driver attention monitoring.

SV and Midnight Edition

The SV adds some finer accoutrements such as remote start, heated side mirrors, Nissan Intelligent Key (the brand’s proximity keyless entry system), dual-zone automatic climate control, illuminated vanity mirrors, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an additional USB-A and USB-C port. It also gets a more desirable infotainment system with NissanConnect, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and six speakers. Beyond that, the SV has a better safety setup with the addition of ProPilot Assist adaptive cruise control, intelligent lane intervention, and intelligent blind-spot intervention.

With the available Midnight Edition Package, the SV will get comprehensive black exterior accents, as well as roof rails, a power liftgate, a moonroof, rear door sunshades, synthetic-leather seats that are heated in the first row, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. Those more luxurious add-ons can be opted for on the SV via the SV Premium Package.

SL

The SL goes without the Midnight Edition’s dark-themed exterior accents, but it keeps most everything else listed for that trim level. Its side mirrors with reverse gear tilt-down, a surround-view monitor, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, one more 12V power outlet, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, position memory for the driver’s seat, genuine leather upholstery, and a cargo area organizer.

The available SL Premium Package will bundle a few swanky amenities, including a motion-activated liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, rear sunshades, a 9-inch touchscreen, built-in navigation, wireless smartphone connect, Amazon Alexa, a premium Bose audio system, ProPilot Assist with Navi-link (Nissan’s semi-hands-free driving system), front and side parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.

Platinum

The Platinum is gifted with most of the available items from the SL, along with ambient interior lighting, quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a wireless phone charger, and remote-folding rear seats. The available Platinum Premium Package will raise this trim’s deluxe appeal further with tri-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, and heated rear seats.

Packages

Three packages are available for the ’23 Rogue. The SV Premium Package includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear sunshades, synthetic-leather upholstery, roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power liftgate, and a dual-panel panoramic moonroof. The SL Premium Package contains the rear sunshades along with a hands-free liftgate, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and tri-zone automatic climate control while also upgrading the infotainment setup with a 9-inch touchscreen, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM Travel Link, and a Bose audio system. The package also builds up the driver-assist tech by adding ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, front and side parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.
